Judy was born September 26th, 1947 in Fargo ND, and on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at 10:24am, Judy completed her journey on Earth and entered into the kingdom of Almighty God. After battling cancer for 2 years, of which she accepted and never complained about, she lived her life to the fullest every day. While Judy was living in Vermont, she went on a vacation to Quebec with some girlfriends, where she met her husband, Roger MacZura at the top of a revolving restaurant. Judy refused to talk to Roger, to which he made a bold statement; “Well, if you won’t talk to me, will you marry me?” The rest is history, because a year later, in 24” of snow on November 26th 1977 in West Fargo, ND they were married. After they were married, they put down roots in Hell, MI, where they raised their two children, Jesse and Katie. Judy taught first grade in the Pinckney Community School System until she retired in 2009. Judy cherished being with family and friends, her book club, and attending car shows with Roger, where she made numerous friendships with her loving personality and smile, which is what a lot of people remembered her for. In 2018, Judy and Roger became Florida “snowbirds” to be near Katie, Lee (son-in-law), and grandsons Henry and Luke, settling permanently in 2024. Judy made sure to maintain a close relationship with her children whether they were 12 or 1200 miles away. Judy treasured Jesse’s daily calls about bird watching or just life in general. Even though it couldn’t happen often, Judy loved it when her children were together causing hysterical chaos in her life. Judy had an incredible devotion to her Catholic faith, which did not go unnoticed to anyone who knew her. Traveling over an hour to attend the Latin Tridentine Mass was not an uncommon thing nor a burden for her. Her faith is what carried her through these last few years with an acceptance of God’s will be done. “Be not afraid” and “My Jesus mercy”-Judy
