Neil Leo Bloomfield

Neil Bloomfield of Dexter, MI passed away on Wednesday, October 23rd. Born in Ann Arbor, Neil was the son of Andrews and Clara Bloomfield and husband of the late Helen E. Bloomfield. Retired from Handicraft Furniture Company of Ann Arbor, Neil is fondly remembered by his many customers who came to know him over the years. A member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a long time parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church, he was currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Dexter. He is survived by his lovingly family, Neil Bloomfield, Jr. (Betty) of Lyman, SC; and daughters, Carol Darr (John) of Dexter, and Marilyn Polanco (David) of San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America. Grandchildren are Carolyn Korza, Linda Savitski, Amanda Moseler, David Polanco, Erick Polanco, Susan Briceno. Visitation will be Sunday, 2-6 PM at Hosmer-Muehling Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral will be at the St. Joseph Village Church in downtown Dexter. Visitation Monday, 10-11 AM at the church. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Ann Arbor.

I'm sorry to hear of Neil's passing. I worked with Neil in the carpet department at Handicraft furniture in the early 70's. I was a young kid and he took me under his wing and i'll always remember his kind and gentle manner . He was a great man.. Jim Trankle .. Rapid City, S. D.
