Robert Russell Hoatlin

Robert Russell Hoatlin, age 84, of Dexter, Michigan passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. Robert was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to F. Rosale Hoatlin (Foote) and Keith M. Hoatlin. After graduating from Dexter High School, Robert went on to get his undergraduate and master’s degree from Wayne State University. He entered the United States Army where he served from 1961-1967 specializing in mechanics of helicopter and airplanes. In 1963, Robert married the love of his life Barbara Sue Works in Saginaw, MI. They welcomed their three sons over the span of 8 years from 1971-1978. His background was Finance and Accounting where he spent most of his working career at Masco Corporation as an Executive. Robert’s true passion was his family but also enjoyed aircrafts, history, scuba diving and watching his three sons play sports. Robert is survived by his spouse, Barbara; his oldest son Kevin (Lisa) and his granddaughter Kaela and grandson Kaiden; his middle son Brian (Clarissa) and his grandson’s Nathan and Corben, and granddaughter Hannah; and his youngest son Michael (Sara), and his granddaughter’s Alexandra and Alivia; and his sister JoAnn. Robert was preceded in death by his father Keith M. Hoatlin, his mother F. Rosale Hoatlin (Foote), and his sister Virginia Weber. No public services are scheduled at this time.
