Alvin John Zinck

November 29, 1945November 28, 2020

Zinck, Alvin John age 74 of Digby passed away November 28, 2020 at home. Born in Lower Rosebay, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Leo and Margaret (Richardson) Zinck.

He spent many years as a scallop fisherman and really enjoyed being on the sea. He enjoyed playing crib, darts, poker and Skip-Bo. His favorite sports were curling and hockey and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. He enjoyed baking and will be remembered for his home made baked bread. He enjoyed his snacks such as chips and lots of sweets. His favorite saying was “Old Sunny Day”.

Surviving are the love of his life, Paula Stevenson, step daughter Latoya, Digby; step-sons Tim, Bridgewater; Jermaine, Digby; sister Linda, Bridgewater, granddaughters Kira, Kaila, Tyra, Shania, Digby; Courtney, Tara, Bridgewater; nephew Jamie, Bridgewater. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Burnley, Philip and Everett.

No visitation or service as per Alvin’s wishes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Share a memory or leave an online condolence at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com

You were such a wonderful human being. Always full of life. I remember how happy you made Paula and everyone else who was around you. My heart and prayers go out to Paula Stevenson and the rest of your family and friends. Heaven has gained another angel. Heaven is lucky to have gained such a remarkable angel.
