Barbara Mae Richards

Barbara Mae (Blizzard) Richards age 90 of Weymouth, NS, passed away at Digby General on February, 26, 2025. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late James Francis Blizzard and Lily Mae (Hector) Blizzard. Barbara was a much loved wife of 70 years and loving mother to 5 children.

Barbara was an active member of St. Luke’s Church, NB and presently Havelock Wesleyan church, Hasset, NS.

She loved quilting, gospel music and dancing.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Raymond E. Richards; children, Shelly Lee (Ken); Gary R., Anthony M. (deceased), Beth Lynn (Rick), Shaun E (Nichola). Several Grandchildren Naticha, Terra, Maria, Ryan (Arina), Evan, Bayli, Taylor and Cassidy. Several Great Grandchildren Ryland, AzLeah; and many nieces & nephews.

Besides her parents Barb was predeceased by her son Anthony M. Richards; Brothers Neil A. Blizzard and James F. Blizzard Jr.
