Bruce was born in Truro, NS and was predeceased by his mother and father, Lois (Bethune) and John MacDonald in 2008 and 2003 and his sister Judy MacDonald (Cindy) in 2016.
Bruce is survived by younger brothers, John MacDonald in Yarmouth, NS and Robert MacDonald in Halifax, NS.
Bruce will be fondly remembered by his best friend Judy and her daughter Patsy.
There will be a graveside gathering in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery at a later date.
