Carol Ruth Sabean age 70, of Digby passed away August 29, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on December 1, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Lester Raymond and Florence Graham. Carol had been employed with the Alberta government and Pearson Peace Keeping Centre in Cornwallis. She was Past District Zone D Commander of the Royal Canadian Legion, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20, Digby and she received the Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. Surviving are her husband, Wayne Sabean; sister, Helen Burnie; godson, Doug Grabinsky; nephews, Lewis Raynard, Julian Burnie; cousin, Barb Grabinsky. Visitation from 1-2 pm with a Legion service followed by a celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 6, from the Digby Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff White and Rev. Donald Robertson will officiate with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
