THURBER, Carson Lee of Bear River, NS, passed away Saturday, August 30th, 2014. Born in Freeport, NS Carson was a son of the late Earl and Belle (Garron) Thurber. Carson worked as a fisherman for many years and enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures on the ocean. He had a strong affection for nature and a special connection with animals. Carson is survived by his wife, Beverley Dianne (Cromwell), daughters, Elaine, NB; Elizabeth, Montague, PEI; son, Percy, Montague, PEI; step-children, Susan, Windsor, Ont; Norma, Westport, NS; Nina, Smith's Cove, NS; Tessa, Little River, NS. Carson also was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carson is also survived bysister, Beulah, Annapolis Royal, NS; brothers, Lou, Barrington Passage, NS and Clifton, Freeport, NS. Carson was predeceased by sisters, Louise, Edna, Pearl, Gertrude, Vesta; brothers, Earl and Raymond. A memorial service will take place at 2pm on Sunday, September 14th in the Freeport Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Freeport..
