Chester Roland Winchester

Winchester, Chester Roland - Age 76 of Digby passed away July 21, 2015 in Digby, surrounded by his family. Born April 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Dudley and Alice Winchester. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. A loyal employee for Digby Regional School Board for 40 years and a strong community member. Chester was always willing to help anyone in need. His strength and courage will be carried on with his entire family. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Rosalie Taylor; daughters, Judi (Marvin); Carla (Darren); sons, Robert (Laura); Joey (Barb); Timmy (Crystal); sisters, Joyce (Pennington), Sally, Ruby, brother, Roger (Helena); grandchildren, Jamie, Alicia, Cassie, Kristen, Kelsey, Taylor and great grandchild Shilyn. He was predeceased by brothers, Duke and Winston (Bub); sisters, Betty and Marion. Visitation will be 7-9pm Friday from Jayne’s Funeral Home,7 Birch St. Digby and from where funeral service will be held on 1pm Monday, July 27. Rev. Donald Robertson will officiate with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Digby. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chester can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Pallative Care Unit in Digby.
