Active in Grace United Church, Digby Hospital Auxiliary and Area Health Foundation. She contributed in many ways to Digby over the years. She loved to play the piano for both church and community events.
Connie’s wish was that she could stay in her home to be able to look at the water and watch the fishing and sailing boats in the basin. She loved to wave to people and dogs as they walked by her home.
Connie had dementia but was always happy as her mind let her enjoy daily trips and outings. She was positive, maintained her sense of humour and appreciative of her caregivers.
Being cared for in her home could not have happened without the love and support of Mary Lou and Connie’s amazing caregivers who include, Karen, Teresa, Patty, Suzanne, Kathy T, Kathy B, and Heather. Thank you to Marilyn and Krista who also made a difference. Past caregivers include Ann, Jane Stephanie, Angela, and Victoria. We have lost Sheila and Doug who contributed to her care. Thank you to the Continuing Care team who provided excellent care for Connie and Tri-County VON. Thank you to Jeremy, Rosemary, Tim, and Mary Lou who enabled her to stay in her home as well to all the friends who would visit in the past and bring a smile to Connie’s face.
