David Frank Gavel

David liked reading, find a word puzzles, playing crib and listening to country music. He enjoyed visiting family, traveling and watching westerns. David was a kind man, if someone needed a drive or help he was there to lend a hand.

David is survived by daughters, Sharon and Diane; sons, Edward, Paul, Kevin, Tracy, Tim and Wayne; sisters, Daisy and Gladys; brothers, Ernest, Gordon and George; grandchildren, Bradley Harrison, Ellis Gavel, Abigail Gavel, Chris Day and Carter Gavel as well as many nieces and nephews. David is also survived by the mothers of his children Jeanne Hill and Carol Zimmer.

Besides his parents David was predeceased by his brothers, Donald and Steve; sisters, Edna and Iris; grandson, Connor Gavel and former wife Lillian.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
