Delores Marie Rice Spiteri

Delores Marie Spiteri (Rice), 68 years of age, of Bear River, passed away April 4, 2013 in Digby General Hospital, Digby, Nova Scotia, after a long bout with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Donald & Bessie Rice of Bear River. She spent most of her adult life in Ontario and retired after many years with Canada Post - then returned to Bear River to reside. Delores enjoyed life and always had a smile - she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by sister, Nina (Hanshaw), and brother-in-law, Wayne Milbury. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Victor; son, Kevin Wade (Laurie), and granddaughter, Desiree, of Cambridge, Ontario; step-son, Christopher Spiteri, and granddaughter, Hope, of Brampton, Ontario; step-daughter, Teresa Faulkner (Gary), granddaughter, Haley, & grandson, Blake, of Windsor, Ontario; sister, Diane Milbury (Rice), brother, Donald Rice (Norma), of Bear River, Nova Scotia; & several nieces & nephews .Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Sunday, April 7th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby (245-2525) also where the funeral service will be at 1:30pm on Monday, April 8th. Rev. Mel Malton will preside. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River.
