Doris Theresa Mudge

Doris Theresa Mudge - 86, of Digby, passed away December 3rd, 2015 in Tideview Terrace. Born September 7th, 1929, in Bear River First Nation, she was a daughter of the late, Chief Louis Joseph Peters and Charlotte Pearl (McCumber) Peters. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Basil Mudge; and son, Darrell Mudge; brothers, Henry, Freeman, Joseph and Bazil; sisters, Viola, Mary, Shirley and Lillian. Doris is survived by, daughters, Yvonne Speichts and Elaine (Larry) Arnold; son, Terrell Mudge and his special friend Jane Gabriel; and was legal guardian of Jody Mudge. She also had 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Best; brother, Leo Peters, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great newphews. She loved her family and spending time with the kids. Doris enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and moose hunting. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her daughter Yvonne, who resided with her at Tideview. She will also be missed by her granddaughter, Jody along with great grandchildren Gage and Hope, in which she lived with before moving to Tideview. Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Tuesday December 8th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby. Funeral Service at 11am, Wednesday from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Digby.
