Dorothea Dorothy Jean Henshaw

Henshaw, Dorothy Jean age 92 of Middleton, formerly of Bear River passed away July 21, 2011 in The Heart Of The Valley Long Term Care Center, Middleton. Born in Sheet Harbour on March 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Eulalia (Rice) Morgan. Dorothy and her husband Francis celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 8, 2005 and Francis passed away in September of that year. Dorothy spent most of her life in Bear River, but the last four have been in nursing homes. Surviving are her daughter Marilyn (Donald) Beattie, Karsdale, Annapolis County; grandchildren, Tony and Craig Trimper, Greenland; Dwayne Beattie, Ottawa; Susan Chalmers, Coldbrook; and great-grandchildren, Ezra, Janelle, Emma, Alex and Georgia. She was predeceased by her husband Francis and her children Keith, Sandra, and Carey in infancy; brother Milton. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, from Mt. Hope Cemetery Bear River Rev. John Dickinson will officiate. Donations in memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne’s Funeral Home in Digby.
