So very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. He was a wonderful person and a valued member of our church group. He was our #1 dishwasher at the many events at church and we shared a lot of laughs. My sincere condolences to his family.

Sincere condolences to the family of this most kind, generous, "gentle" man. Seeing the family tribute, Ernie was obviously a family man caring for his daughters and grandchildren...and a proud veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces.
I only knew him since our 5 church congregations joined at Grace United Church Digby. Ernie was always keen to be part of our church family. He was the first one in the kitchen washing dishes after our social gatherings..he and I had some great chats at those times! He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to all of Ernie’s family — I have many wonderful memories of chats with Ernie over the dirty dishes at church suppers. “I’ll wash until my back gives out” ❤️ Marie and Ernie are woven into the tapestry of history of our church family and will always be remembered with smiles.
