Evelyn Elizabeth Sullivan

Sullivan, Evelyn Elizabeth age 90 of Digby passed away August 5, 2022 in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Toronto, Ont. She was a daughter of the late George James Caroline Gertrude (VanTassel) Clarke and was raised by her grandparents Stephen and Maria VanTassel. She was a member of the Digby Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, She was employed with Steadman’s and Foodland for many years. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking and loved her grandson Stephen and great granddaughter Peyton. Evelyn and her husband Arthur were married for 50 years.

Surviving are her son, Stephen of Digby, daughter Debbie Balser of Digby, grandson Stephen (Holly) and great granddaughter Peyton as well as sisters in law, Lillian Doucette and Joyce Gray. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, son in law, Willard Balser and sister Vivian Surette.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 2pm from Fairview Cemetery, Digby with Rev. Tim Long officiating. Special thanks to Digby and Clare Home Care, VON, Dr. John Black, Doctors and Staff on the second floor of the Digby General Hospital.
