Francois "Herbie" Herbert Boudreau

Boudreau, Herbert “Herbie” 86 of Digby, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023 in Yarmouth Regional with his loving wife by his side. Born in St. Bernard, he was a son of the late Herbert and Rosanne (LeBlanc) Boudreau. Herbert was employed for 15 years with Weaver Garage in St. Bernard and was also employed for over 35 years with the Digby General Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). After retirement he volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weymouth and St Theresa Catholic Church in Southville. Herbie really enjoyed playing darts, cards and bingo. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, sister, Jacqueline Mullen, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Agnes, sister in law Eulalie, sisters Marguerite Comeau, Agnes Blinn, Lucille Dugas, Agathe Munroe, Elizabeth Dugas, Bernadette Saulnier, Antoinette and Paul both in infancy and brother Gustave. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, May 1, 2023 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, May 2 from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Weymouth. Father Raymond will officiate with burial in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
