Amero, George James – 77 of Digby, passed away May 7, 2010 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Plympton, Digby Co. George was a son of the late Frank and Ester Amero. George is survived by his wife Betty; brothers, Edward Amero and Clifton (Myrna) Amero, both of Plympton; sister, Phyllis Vantassel, Digby; many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by brothers, Jerome, Scott, Daley, Camille and sisters, Norma, Bessie, Stella and Olive. Visitation will be 7-9 Monday with prayers at 8:00pm, in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St, Digby. A Funeral Mass will take place 10:00am Tuesday in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Plympton with Father Keith Billard presiding. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Donations in George’s memory would be gratefully accepted by the VON or Holy Cross Cemetery Fund.
