Walker- Glenn Percy, age 76 of Mount Pleasant. Passed away February 19, 2021 at home with loving family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Digby October 13,1944 to Percy Walker and Sylvia Haight. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Glenn moved to Montreal at an early age. He was a man of many talents and skills. Over the years he held many positions. He was a deck officer with Montreal Urban Community Police, he enjoyed CB radio clubs, and installed many radio towers. Glenn was a mechanic by trade, as well as a successful business owner. Over the span of many years, he owned Four Seasons Aircooled Engines, Glenn’s Auto Service, Glenn’s Parcel Service and most recently Fundy Self Storage. Glenn loved life and enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, touring in his mustang; he loved nature, especially birds, and loved family gatherings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Simone (Doucet) of 40 years; Daughters, Cindy (Max) Walker-Matharu, Wendy (Gary) Walker-Bradley, Step-children Carl (Nicole) LeBlanc, Bruce (Lisa) Sibbley, Jennifer (Wade) Broome. 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; Siblings Sharon, Evan, Brian, Barry, Gail, Deborah and Kimberley. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jaynes Funeral Home, Digby. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday February 25 from Jayne’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday February 26 from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Father Keith Billard officiating with a family committal at a later date.
