It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon M. Potter announces his passing after a sudden stroke in his home in Digby on Sunday, June 5th, 2016 at the age of 72. Gord will be forever remembered by his sons Mark and Ryan, his brothers Edward and Harold and his partner and best friend, Sally Sockett. Gord was born October 24, 1943, in Montreal, Quebec. A member of the McGill University Sports Hall of Fame, he was one of the few graduates to letter in Hockey, Football and Water Polo. Gord loved life and fulfilled his dreams of raising a family in Vancouver, BC, skiing Whistler mountain, playing tennis, flying planes, launching innovative companies and being 'a raging entrepreneur'. Gord loved his dogs -- walking and playing ball with them gave him so much joy. Funeral Service in memory of Gord will be held on 3pm Friday June 10th from Jayne's Funeral Home 7 Birch St., Digby.Interment will follow in the family plot at Barton Cemetery.
