Grace Marion Acker Baker

Baker, G. Marion , 81 , Gulliver’s Cove, Digby Co. passed away May 24, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co. she was a daughter of the late Eezekiel and Radie (Woodworth) Acker. Marion was born in June of 1930 and moved to Gulliver’s Cove as a young woman, where she and her husband Frank raised 9 children. She loved life and she lived it to the fullest, watching her grandchildren grow and be a part of that gave her great joy. She was a kind woman who would help anyone. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Surviving are daughters Valerie (Brett), Linda (Terry), Cathy (Richard), sons Kevin (Cindy), Wayne (Charlene) , Tony , and Stevie, sisters Betty, Gladys , and Roxxy, 18 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband Frank Baker, infant son Franky, son Ricky, daughter in law Gina , grandson David, 7 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday June 1, 2012 from Jayne’s Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525).Rev. Mel Malton will officiate with burial in All Saints Cemetery, Rossway.
