Barrett, Harold Cyril Neil “Jake” – Age 84, passed away October 26, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late John and May Barrett. Jake Served 25 years with the Canadian Armed Forces, serving in Korea, Cyprus, Germany and Canada. He was a member of: Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22, Bear River; Masonic Lodge, Bear River and the Lion’s Club. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his friends. Jake is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Shields) Barrett; daughter, Carol Ann (Robert) Power; grandchildren, Cyndy (Tim) Nicholson, Robert (Karina) Power; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Jaymie, Bailey, Alexandrea and half-sister, Agnes Muise. Besides his parents, Jake was predeceased by infant daughter, Linda Louise Barrett. As per Jake’s wishes, cremation has taken place after a private family gathering, burial at a later date in Ottawa.
