Herman "Toni" Dakin

Toni was the baby of the family and the one who kept everyone together, some may say he was also the favorite uncle. He was loving, kind, compassionate, honest and there for anyone including strangers whom he had brought home more than once when they had nowhere else to go.

Toni liked to have a good time and had a passion for driving; working as a long haul truck driver with his wife, Wanda. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by his family, his fur-son, Tas who was always by his side and his Forever-Green camping family. He is together again with his best friend, Brian Albright and his grandfather and friend, Emerson Titus.

Besides his mother, Ruth, Toni is survived by his wife, Wanda Dakin; daughters, Sara Burns (Jeremy Keeping), Carrie Dakin; son, Dustin Dakin; grandsons, Tristan Goodwin, Aiden Dakin; sisters, Diane Titus (Emile German), Patsy Dakin, Doreen Dakin-Everett (Brent Everett); brother, Bruce Dakin (Lana Leighton); also many nieces and nephews. Toni was predeceased by his father, Herman; nephew, Bruce Guier; brother in-laws, Everett Titus and Steven Guier.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. At Tony's request there will be no visitation or service, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In memory of Tony, do a good deed for someone or donations can be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or Cystic Fibrosis - Atlantic Canada.
