

Gidney, Ingram Gilmour of Digby; father of three and husband to wife Beverley, passed away April 4, 2017 in Tideview Terrace at age 92. Born in Digby, Ingram was a son of the late Conrad and Mariah (Bailey) Gidney. He was a farmer, hunter, fisher, staff at Canadian Packers, worker during the Cold War and skipper of an artic fisheries research vessel. Ingram is survived by daughter, Kathleen, Mink Cove; son, Steven, Halifax; grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura Belliveau (Matt), Beverley Chan (Michael), Nathaniel; great-grandson, Connor Ryan Chan; sister, Janet; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by wife, Beverley Edith (Cameron) and son, Norman Ingram; sisters Margaret, Judy, Miriam, brothers, Bailey, Paul, Richard, Roger. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Ingram’s Life will take place at 2pm, Thursday April 13, from Jayne’s Funeral Home in Digby. Pastor Linda DeMone will preside with interment in Church of Nativity Anglican Cemetery, Sandy Cove. Donations in memory can be made to any of Sandy Cove’s churches. Many thanks to the staff at Tideview Terrace, Admiral House as we know Ingram was so happy there.
