My grandmother was one of the strongest, most loving women I have ever known. She loved fiercely and was not afraid to be witty. Her laugh was contagious and I can still hear her whistling with the birds. I could write a list of the many things that my grandmother has taught me, but it’s easier to say that nothing can ever take her place in my heart. Nanny, my heart aches that you are gone, but I am glad that you have finally found peace. Until we meet again, your granddaughter, Julia Martin xo

If anyone was comparable to a lighthouse on a dark and stormy night it would be Nanny, no matter how dark of a day her smile would always light up the room. She was quite possibly the most wonderful and kindest soul you could ever meet. Her heart was just as strong as her faith, and she raised the most wonderful children which proved not only was she an amazing wife to Grampy but an amazing Mother and even greater Grandmother. You will always be loved and missed and most definitely never forgotten. Love always Jacob.
