Joan Emma Foley Franklin

Franklin, Joan Emma- 77 of Acacia Valley, Digby, passed away November 4, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born December 19th, 1933 in Quyon, Quebec Joan was a daughter of the late Albert and Cora Foley. Joan is survived by her husband James R. Franklin, daughter Kelly Lynn (Perry) Comeau, Acacia Valley, Digby; son Keith Douglas (Cheryl) Franklin, Chilliwack, B.C; grandchildren, Sgt. James Remington Franklin, USMC, Virginia, USA ; Jessica Joan Comeau, Acacia Valley, Digby; great grandson Dylan and brother Fred. Joan was predeceased by her sister Edith and brother Carl. Joan was a member of the OORP, Kamloops, Abbotsford, Mackenzie and Chilliwack, B.C, Joan was a proud member of Royal Purple from 1965 to 1999, she served two terms as Honored Royal Lady from 1970-1972 and two terms as District Deputy from 1975-1977 Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm today November 7th at Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525) Funeral Service 1pm Tuesday November 8th from the Hillgrove Baptist Church.
