Joseph Lawrence Comeau

Joseph Laurent “Lawrence” Comeau, Age- 90 of Digby, passed away April 27, 2017 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Saulnierville, he was a son of the late Charles and Francoise Comeau. Lawrence served Canada for 38 years; he was with the R.C.A.F for 22 years and a public servant for 16 years. He coached little league baseball and minor hockey. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping in Smith’s Cove. He enjoyed Saturday night hockey games on t.v.; rappie pie in the oven, skating, riding his bike and playing horse shoes. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Marie Comeau; daughter, Donna Marie Comeau; sons, Ronald Louis Comeau; Brian Charles Comeau; David Lawrence Comeau; sister, Amelia Deveau; brother, Edward Comeau; grandchildren, Jessica Henshaw, Alex Comeau, Brandon Comeau, Matthew Comeau, Emily Comeau, Miranda Perry, David Jr. Comeau; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Allison. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Laurette, Cecil and Delphin. No Visitation by request. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Jayne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11am on Friday, May 5th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). Father Vincent Onyekelu will preside. A reception will follow at Royal Canadian Legion Br#20, Digby.
