Kathleen Joyce Silver

Silver, Kathleen " Kay" Joyce age 87 of Tideview Terrace, Conway, Digby Co. and formerly of Bloomfield, Digby Co. passed away July 19, 2014 in Tideview Terrace. Born in Brantville, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Eric and Jennie (Beattie) Burton. Throughout her life, she was a devoted daughter, wife , mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the North Range United Baptist Church and to her community. She served in her church as clerk, as a superintendent/ teacher of the Sunday School, president - secretary Women's Missionary Society and a Dominion Life Member of the WMS and a choir member. In her community, she was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club, as well as a founding member of the Busy Bee Craft Club.Surviving are daughters, Sheila (David) Thomas, North Range, Digby Co.; Carolyn (Ritchie) Amon, Brighton, Digby Co.; sons, Eugene (Lucille Burnie) Silver, Lighthouse Rd. Digby; Terry (Laurie) Silver, Coldbrook, Kings Co.; brother, Thurston Burton, Middleton; grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Mike Thomas, Kathy Uhlman, Tracy Doucette, Shawn Amon, Danny Silver and great-grandchildren, Noah,and Abbey Thomas, Katherine,and Isabel Thomas, Dylan Uhlman, Shaylene Silver, Ryan and Jasmine Doucette. She was predeceased by her husband, Clement , grandson Robert Silver, sister, Gertie. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Tuesday, July 29 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). Funeral service will be 2pm, Wednesday, July 30 from North Range Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Reid will officiate with burial in the Methodist Cemetery, Bloomfield. Donations in memory can be made to North Range Baptist Church ,Methodist Cemetery, Bloomfield , Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown or to Tideview Terrace, Conway.
