On September 11, 2022, Lillian Marie Daniels (nee Specht), 74, of North Range, NS, while at home surrounded by her family, slipped away peacefully into the arms of Jesus. She is no longer in pain and is in the presence of Christ, whom she loved and served her entire life.
Lillian, born on July 6, 1948 in Weymouth, NS, was the daughter of the late Lloyd George and Elinor Marie (Dunkley) Specht.
Lillian was a retired teacher who taught in Halifax and Digby area schools, as well as at Bear River First Nations. Anyone who knew Lillian, knew she was a born teacher. She spent many years teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies, retreats, and youth groups as well as ministering to anyone who needed support. She was passionate about sharing her faith in Jesus with anyone she met.
Lillian loved her family tremendously. She was a loving and supportive wife to Chuck for over 51 years and was devoted to her two sons and their families. She also acquired many other “kids” over the years who loved and adored her.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Chuck, her sons Kelly (Jill) of North Range, NS and Stephen (Lori) of Moncton, NB, her grandson Connor (North Range, NS), granddaughter Grace (Halifax, NS), step grandson Dylan (Moncton, NB), one sister, Susan (Tom) Wickens of Brooklyn, NS and a brother, Chris (Nancy) Specht of Milton, ON.
She will also be missed by many other family members and special friends, especially the congregation of Good Samaritan Community Church.
At Lillian’s request, there will be no visitation or public funeral service. Donations in Lillian’s memory can be made to Good Samaritan Community Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
