

Farnsworth, Llewellyn Brian- 67 of Little River, Digby Co. passed away March 7, 2010 in the QE II Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Digby he was a son of the late Howard Thomas and Mary Eliza (Amero) Farnsworth. Lew was a loving husband to Myrna for 50 years as well as a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. Lew was a well respected member in the community. Lew’s life was his family and fishing. He retired from ground fishing in 2005 due to his health. Lew loved life and had many friends. His best friend in life was his grandson Logan. They shared a very special relationship. His granddaughter Lyndi was his inspiration never failing to amaze him with her academic achievements. Lew also had a great love for animals therefore he had many family pets. Sammy will be lost without him. Lew will be forever remembered and sadly missed. He is survived by his wife, Myrna Louise (Gosson) Farnsworth; daughters, Kimberly Ann Farnsworth, Antigonish; Kelly Lynne (Brian) Merritt and Sharmon Melissa Hattie, both of Waterford; granddaughter, Lyndi Kathleen Raymond (Colen Denton) and Logan Llewellyn Raymond ( Ashley Tidd); great grandson, Lukas Guy Tidd Raymond; sisters, Gladys Smith, Yarmouth; Joyce (Frank) Brown, Shelburne; Anne (Maynard) Mullen, Havelock; Lorraine ( Donnie) Barr, Havelock; Lavern (Leigh) McConnell, Kingston; Bernadine Hurtle, Bridgewater. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jim, George, Harold and Earle. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 Wednesday in the Little River Bapitist Church where the funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday. Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Little River. Family flowers only by request. Donations in Lew’s memory can be made to the Little River Baptist Church, Calvary Pentecostal Church, Tiddville or charity of choice.
