Lucille Marie Halliday

July 24, 1944October 29, 2020

Lucille Marie Halliday age 76 of Weymouth, N.S. Passed away October 29, 2020 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Saulnierville, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Benoit and Modeste (Dugas) Melanson.

She loved music and dancing, was an animal lover and would always take in strays. Lucille was an excellent baker and would always share her baked goods with neighbors and friends. She is survived by companion and best friend, Weldon Cromwell; daughters, Cindy (Tracy) Belleville N.S., Shirlann (Cory) Beaver County, A.B.; son, Curtis (Dolly) Halifax, N.S.; sister, Eileen Saulnierville, N.S.; brother, Jimmy (Marlene) Church Point N.S.; grandchildren, Jocelynn (Bobby), Kody, Kory, Tyler, Colin, Brandon (Logan); 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Wilfred; sisters, Flora, Diane; brother-in-laws, Billy and Don.

Donations in Lucille memory can be made to Nova Scotia Lung Association or charity of choice. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth. I would often see Lucille when I would drop my son off at her house to visit with Colin. We would always have a good conversation and a visit before I left. My deepest and sincerest sympathies to her family and friends she was a wonderful lady.
