

Margaret W. Ossinger, 89 of Tiverton, Digby County passed away peacefully at Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, on Friday, March 29, 2013. She was born in Tiverton Digby Co.on October 19, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Hubert & Ilma (Outhouse) Ossinger. In her early years, she worked at Tiverton Post Office. Margaret had a heart for teaching and after graduating from Normal College, Truro and later Acadia University, she taught in Schools in the Yarmouth area, Westport, Freeport, Kingston and West Kings. Margaret loved the Lord and served him with all her might, as a member of the Tiverton United Baptist Church, as a Sunday school teacher, as an AWMS Member and also the Sunshine Bible Class. She was a concerned citizen and was not afraid to voice opinion regarding government policy. She was a member of the Islands Historical Society, The Outhouse Reunion society and loved taking part in the Tiverton Super Seniors events. She traveled extensively to different parts of the world and was a good and faithful friend to all. She is survived by Brother Edwin Ossinger (Donna), niece Lisa Lohnes (Peter), nephew Thomas Ossinger (Barbara), Kendall Ossinger (Lorilea), sister-in law Kathy Ossinger. She was predeceased by brother Welton Ossinger, several Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-9pm Monday, April 1 from Tiverton United Baptist church and from where funeral Service will take place 2 PM Tuesday, April 2. Pastor Rick Small will officiate with interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Donations in Margaret’s Memory may be made to the Tiverton United Baptist Church.
