Mary Catherine Cook

Mary Catherine Cook, age 85, of Weymouth Mills passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with her loving husband Louis by her side! Born in St. Joseph, Mary was the daughter of the late Willie and Lena (Comeau) Thibault. Mary was married to the love of her life, Louis Cook, for 66 years! Their love for one another was one beyond compare. Mary had several jobs during her working years; she worked at the Digby Pines Hotel, Tideview Terrace Nursing Home and for many years she worked at Frenchy's. She always loved cook for company! She was a wonderful cook - and she always had delicious desserts on hand! She is survived by her husband Louis of 66 years; daughters, Delia (Rodney) Mullen; Vivian (Roland) Potter; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; her sister, Elizabeth (Paul) Comeau and several sisters and brother in-laws. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by brothers, Willie (Joyce) Thibault, Alphonse (Jackie) Thibault, Victor (Stella) Thibault, and sisters; Lena (Wilfred) Raymond, Regina (Delbert) LeBlanc. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. A service to celebrate Mary will be held on May 31st, 2025 at 11am. At Saint Joseph's Church,17 Weymouth Falls Road. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
