One word that was used to describe Mary: "amazing". Mary was an adventurous woman all her life, at an early age she boarded a train by herself to go to Lake Louise, AB to work for the summer. She got very used to travelling. Her late husband Roger was in the military, due to this they moved frequently. Over the span of 20 years they lived in various spots all over Canada, coast to coast. After settling down in Weymouth, they opened a restaurant there, which Mary proudly ran. For her second business endeavor Mary opened a bed and breakfast: Mary's Waterview Bed & Breakfast. A popular spot that had people calling to try and book a room even years after it closed its doors. After retirement Mary enjoyed her many various trips with her travel buddies and cherished nieces Donna, Brenda, Kathy and Susan. Especially enjoying the trips she took with them down to Nashville. Mary loved her family, and adored being able to spend time with her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her sons, Donnie (Shirley) White and Danny (Wendy); grandchildren, Marie (Jason), Darren (Jada), Katie (Adam) and Tammy; great-grandchildren, Mersey, Landon, Kyle, Henley, Ellis, Abel, Ivy and Caleb; as well as her nieces. Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband, Roger and her sister, Helen Weaver.
The family would like to extend very special thanks to the staff at Teeweeden House, and her whole Tideview family. Thank you for loving her.
Donations in Memory of Mary can be made to Tideview Terrace. A service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on October 28th at 12pm with Father Raymond officiating. The service will be followed by a reception and private committal at Holy Cross Catholic cemetery, where she will join her late husband.
