Megan Isles

ISLES, Megan, loving war bride of Arthur Isles passed away September 26th, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Megan was born in Swansea, Wales, UK; she was a daughter of the late Susan May and Martin Luther Williams. She came to Canada in 1945 and worked as a Maternity nurse at Digby General Hospital for 25 years. Megan sang in the choir and was involved with the Hillsburgh United Church in Bear River. She was in community bands in Digby and Annapolis and past president of Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22, Bear River. Megan was predeceased by, brother, Leslie; son in-law, Colin and daughter in-law, Kathleen. Megan is survived by her husband, Robert “Arthur” Isles, Bear River; daughter, Pamela MacKinnon, St. Catherine’s; son, Paul, Halifax; Brian, Bear River; Michael (Janet), Bear River; grandchildren, Sunil, Nalini, Kevin, Karla, Nadia, Jason, Adam and David; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathan, Mackenzie, Maya, Thomas, Kyle, Ty and Harrison; her sister, Vi and nephew, Terrance, both of Australia. A service celebrating Megan’s life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 29th, from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (245-2525). Rev. Simone Wilson will preside.
