

Boudreau (Brittain), Minnie Mary –Age 64. We are saddened to announce that Minnie lost her battle with cancer on January 11, 2015 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Weymouth she was a daughter of the late David Russell and Clara Mildred (Sabean) Brittain. Minnie obtained her GED and worked at the Childrens Training Centre. She moved to Halifax where she met her former husband, Mike Boudreau, they settled in Little Dover, Guysborough County. After her husband’s passing Minnie moved to Antigonish and resided in Highland Crest Home where she lived close to her youngest daughter, Jodi . Before her passing, Minnie resided with her eldest daughter, Heidi in Smith’s Cove. She was a member of the United Baptist Church in Smiths Cove where she was a choir member and taught Sunday School. Minnie had a true love for life, people and animals. She was a loving person who led an active Christian life. Minnie administered various fundraisers to support the I. W. K, sick children and animal shelters. She loved large gatherings and was always involved in the preparations for them. She had a passion for bingo and knitting. Minnie is survived by daughters, Heidi (Doug Bertram) Robbins, Smith’s Cove; Jodi (Glen Pearson) Robbins, Antigonish; sons, Keith (Vickey)Robbins, Smith’s Cove; Troy Robbins, Edmonton; Jamie ( Karina) Robbins, Wolfville; sisters, Julia (Rod Ferguson) Brittain; Judy Koven; Ida Brittain; Thelma Hill; Nellie (David)Russell; brothers, Walter (Gloria), Harry (Nicole), Elijah(Gladys); grandchildren, Kyle, Brandy, Ashley, Adrian, Emma, Cole, Patricia, Ellis, Jacob; nieces and nephews, Loretta, Joanne, Tiffany, Sarah, Rebecca, Richard, Shalane, Owen, Anthony, Christopher, Brenda, Spencer, Tyler, Shawn, Wendell and special friends, Alison and Cindy. Besides her parents, Minnie was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm “Mike” Boudreau and brother, Richard.
