

Sadly we announce the passing of Mitchell Bruce Langdale -Age 61 of North Range on June 15th, 2017 in Digby General Hospital. Born in North Range he was a son of the late Fletcher and Celeste (Sabean) Langdale. Mitchell left home at an early age and was cared for by Burgess and Helen Weaver, later moving in with friends, John and Elaine Clements. He attended Barton, Weymouth and Digby High school. Mitchell worked at Henderson Lumber Company then for Canadian Pacific Railway for 15 years until they closed. He was owner and operator of Langdale Quick Way for 7 years, worked 5 years with Tony Langdale’s Carpentry and 15 years with MacAlpine Fur Farm. Mitchell was well known for his unlimited storytelling and practical jokes. He enjoyed spending time in Randy’s barn and at the kitchen table talking and playing crib with Judy and Randy, he loved to go hunting and to the camp on Uniake Lake, he also loved his flashlight and his 308. He especially loved the time spent with his grandsons, Dylan, Tylor and granddaughter, Addie, He was Dr. extraordinary to Chrissy during her recovery from her accident and a many to Dylan while Andrea finished her schooling. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Langdale (Weaver); daughters, Andrea (Jody) Smith, Chrissy Langdale (Mitchell Doucette), grandchildren, Dylan Smith(Lacey), Tylor Smith (Jamie); Addison Doucette; sisters, Diane Langdale, Pam Frost (Manus); brothers, Tony (Debbie) Langdale, Randy (Judy) Langdale, Clevie Langdale, Dean Langdale; nieces and nephews, Randy, Natasha, Clifton, Jonathon, Nicholas, Amy, Danny, Trevor, Shauna, Jenny and other extended family, Kirk and Lee Druken, Jonathon MacBurnie and goddaughter, Connie Lombard. Besides his parents, Mitchell was predeceased by brother in-laws, Forrest Boliver, David Frost; sister in-law, Norma Langdale; mother in-law, Helen Weaver. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Please join the family to celebrate Mitchell's life with visitation with a time to share and refreshments from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday June 24th at Weymouth Legion.
