He was a retired RCMP officer, a Sheriff and later a Security Guard at the Digby Detachment of the RCMP for several years. He had a strong faith and attended Church regularly until Covid-19. He was a lover of animals and really cared for his two dogs and cats, and also his friends and neighbors animals as well. One of his favorite ways to spend an evening was to enjoy a good meal, a drink, followed by hours of card and board games. He loved working outside and took great pride in maintaining their home on the lake and their cabin on the river. He loved music and was a great dancer. He will be remembered for his smile, and long chats with his friends or strangers that he had just met.
Surviving are his spouse, Evelyn Mullen, son Terrance (Danielle) Fredericton, NB; sisters Jackie (Wayne) MacRae, Fall River; Liz (Luke) Grant, Halifax; brothers John, St. Stephen, NB.; Paul, BC; grandchildren Elsa Rose Connelly and Adeline Connelly. Besides his parents , he was predeceased by a brother Gerry “Butch”. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby.
