Rita Marie Cosman

With great sadness we inform you that Rita Marie Cosman of Digby passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 13, 2017 at age 77. Born in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of the late Eric and Ellen (Martell) Cannon. Rita worked as an x-ray technician for many years in Annapolis and Digby. She enjoyed reading and going on adventures travelling with her daughter and friends. Rita loved going for Sunday drives to East Ferry for a lobster roll and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she was so proud of. Rita is survived by her husband of 51 years, Scott Cosman; daughter, Pam Cosman (Glendon Young); grandchildren, Mattigan Goodwin and Nicholas Goodwin; sister, Jean Gabriel (Joe); also several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Helen, Catherine, Mary, Doris and brother, Ernest. As per her wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be 1pm, Tuesday December 19th at Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Pastor Jeff White will preside. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
