Robert William Wagner

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert William Wagner of Oakville, Ontario. Robert passed away peacefully Sept. 14, 2014 at the age of 54 at the Ian Anderson House in Oakville. Born in Weymouth, Robert was a son of Harry, Tideview Terrace and Lois (Barr) Wagner, Weymouth. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cindy Coloma Dar; son, Mitchell Wagner, Peterborough; stepson, Angelo Dar, Oakville; brothers, Richard (Terry), Larry, Harry (Marlene), all of Weymouth; sister, Linda (Teddy) Marr, New Tusket; several nieces and nephews. Robert loved driving trucks, he began driving in Halifax in 1979 and in 1981 he moved to Whitby Ont. and on to Peterborough where he drove for E.G. Gray and CBD Transport. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his many friends and family. He also enjoyed trips back to Nova Scotia where he could get his fill of the seafood that he loved so much. Special thanks to all the caregivers that visited Robert at home and to Dr. Pyle and the amazing staff at Ian Anderson House in Oakville. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9, Friday September 19th in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 5114 Hwy 1, Weymouth (245-2525). A funeral service will be at 2pm, Saturday, Sept 20th from Weymouth Church of Christ with Rev. Merle Zimmerman presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
