Rosa Irene White Doucette

Doucette, Rosa Irene Kay” age 87 of New Edinburgh, Digby Co. passed away September 10, 2012 in the Digby General Hospital. Born on October 7, 1924 in Sutton, England she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Jane (Robinson) White. She came to Canada as a British War bride in 1946. After living in such places as Borden, Germany, Winnipeg, Germany (again) and Gagetown, she and Peter settled in New Edinburgh, Digby Co., Sadly, the “Best Bakery in the World” will now be closed. Surviving are daughter, Shirley Doucette ,Edmonton, AB.; son, Michael Doucette, New Edinburgh; sister, Mary Jones, England; grandchildren, Sean (Melanie), Craig (Karen), Kristen; great grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Peter, nephew, Tony Slaymaker, England. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, sister, Doris. Family visitation will be Friday September 14th from 11:30am to 12:30pm from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral service will be 2pm Friday from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Weymouth. Father Henry Smolenaars will officiate with burial in the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard.
