Vernon was a skilled carpenter and fur farmer. He was an avid trout fisherman and loved hunting. Along with his wife Edith, they were devoted Jehovah’s Witnesses who actively shared in their ministry. Vernon also enjoyed regularly watching the Toronto Blue Jays.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edith Mullen; brothers Maynard, Everett (Ebby), Jason, and Sankey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Rowena Mullen.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby.
