Wanda Gail Handspiker

Handspiker, Wanda Gail – Age 70, of Digby passed away August 26th, 2015 in Tideview Terrace. Born in Digby, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Theresa (Melanson) VanTassell. Wanda was a local artist and an avid whale watcher. She was an active member of Digby United Baptist Church, holding positions of clerk, bible study teacher and chair of the social committee. Wanda loved life and cherished her life in Digby, the town she loved. Her greatest treasures in life were her family, her friends and her church. She is survived by loving husband, Robert “Bob” Handspiker; daughters, Sherrie (Dale) Kearney, Digby; Kimberly (Andy) Williams, Liverpool; grandchildren, Shayla, Nicole, Mitchell, Dominic; great-grandchildren, Dineque, Dorian, Devon; sisters, Wendy (Harold) Nesbitt, Five Islands; Melinda VanTassell, Australia; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Wanda was predeceased by her sister Sandra in infancy. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9, Friday August 28th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). Funeral Service 2pm, Saturday, August 29th from Digby United Baptist Church. Rev. Donald Robertson presiding. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
