William Bill Charles Buckman

Buckman, William “Bill” Charles age 77 of Westport, Digby Co. passed away April 12, 2013 in Tideview Terrace, Digby where he had been a resident for the past 5 years. Born in Westport, he was a son of the late Franklin and Mildred (MacDormand) Buckman. He was employed as a fish splitter for many years with D.B Kenney Fisheries, Westport. Surviving are daughter, Melody (Buckman) Budd, sons, Charles Buckman (Crystal Johnson), David Buckman, and Richard Buckman, grandchildren, Genelle (Budd) Howatt, Danielle (Budd) Thibodeau, Chad Cromwell, Chelsea Cromwell, Shane Cromwell and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by His wife, Margaret (Trefry) Buckman and sister Kay (Buckman) Comeau. Visitation will be 7-9 pm Tuesday from Jaynes Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525). Funeral Service will be 1:30pm Wednesday from the Church of Christ Church, Westport with visitation from 12 pm to 1 pm. Mr. Lou Outhouse will officiate with interment in Hilltop Cemetery, Westport.
