Grammy once told me to read as much as I possibly could. That anything you read makes you smarter, even comic books. So me who couldn't read well at all started to read Superman then Spiderman and I noticed it was getting easier and easier to read Then I got into Star Trek books, it was slow at first but after 25 years of reading anything I can get my hands on, I read so well now thanks to the encouragement of my Grammy. Thank you and I love you

I have many fond memories of Winona. For 5 years she welcomed me into her home and into her family. She supported me while I finished high school and through nursing school always encouraging me especially when I thought I couldn’t do it. We spent many hours chatting and laughing while doing the dishes, walking, playing cards and watching the soaps. She was so proud of her family. We didn’t see each other very often over the last years but I will always remember her with love and cherish the memories I have of her and my years of feeling and being part of the family. Thank you Winona and Rest In Peace until we meet again ❤️
