Adam, 

What a blessing that you were born! You would have been 49yrs old today. You were the best big brother a sister could ask for and I miss you every day. You lived a full, meaningful life and I'm so thankful to have been a part of it. You were always there for me and others, so capable and was the person we could go to for advice, a helping hand, a comforting hug or simply to hang out with and share a laugh. The crater that is now felt in your absence is a testament to the impact you made in so many of our lives. The encouraging/loving words, the prayers, the faith and trust in Jesus that continued to grow in you as your time on earth unbeknownst to us was coming to an end is a true inspiration. 

I read this verse recently and I feel that your life was a representation of it. "I have done my best in the race, I have run the full distance, and I have kept the faith." 
2 Timothy 4:7 GNT

You've inspired me to want to be able to say the same; to do more, to be more, to live and love more, to keep the faith and do my best in this race called life. Thank you for the incredible life you lived, brother and the wonderful legacy you left behind.

P.S. I'm so grateful we serve a God in heaven who loves us more than we can ever imagine and that through our faith in Jesus, we know we will see each other again. When I was looking through photos I could feel you looking back at me and hear you say, "It's okay, I'm here and it is AWESOME! And I'll see you when you get here." Amen!

I met Adam through work, and over the years, we got to know each other. One of my earliest memories is celebrating his birthday and seeing how much fun he was having. He was always a blast to be around. I deeply admired him. Above all, his guidance and wisdom in life left a lasting impact on me. Adam was an incredible person, and his memory will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Adam was always one of my favorite fellow Gen-X men.  We always were able to weave Jesus into our stories (Jesus was either saving us or guiding us).  He is with Jesus on his next adventure. I will miss you Adam

I will never forget Adam, …  He was such an amazing person, who would give his shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. I will never forget your kindness and all the funny times we shared, Until we meet again, my buddy!!

Adam was an awesome person!  He lived his life honestly and was real.  This was a direct reflection of his faith in Christ.  Adam was one of those good friends who would tell you, “I’m praying for you”.   We met for lunch regularly and had the best conversations.  He was so proud of his two children and I enjoyed hearing his updates on how they were doing.  My heart breaks for their loss.  We were working together when his children were born and at the end of the work day he would say “I can’t wait to get home and hold my baby.”  He loved his family deeply and was very proud of them.   I remember how excited he was to get married to Evelyn.  To this day their wedding was one of the best I have ever had the privilege to attend.  When we would meet for lunch he would share the updates on their life and his love for Evelyn came through with that natural honest way Adam always had when sharing.   Adam I am going to miss you.  Evelyn, Devon, Julieanne, Tamara, Jessica and Carol please accept my condolences.  It seems like yesterday we buried Steve.  I know the two of them are together right now having a great time.    I found one of Steve’s old business cards a month or so back and when Adam and I met for lunch in April after he had finished setting up for the MCC sale I gave it to him.  We shared our memories about his dad,   I had no idea it would be our last time together. We talked about his job at Sun Maid and his thoughts and hopes for the future and of course he had the proud update to share about his family.  Now he has gone on before us.  Until we all meet again, I’ll miss you Adam!
