Arturo Soria Lopez Jr., lovingly known as “Tudy,” passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in Fresno, California, and raised in Dinuba, California, Arturo was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, loyalty, and love touched all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Dinuba High School, Class of 1989, Arturo went on to earn his Associate’s Degree from Reedley College. Over the years, he made homes in California, Arizona, and Texas, building lasting friendships everywhere he went. He worked at Farmer’s Food Market, where he forged lifelong bonds, and most recently dedicated 26 years to Costco as a forklift driver — where his coworkers became like family.
Arturo had a true zest for life. He loved traveling — from weekends at the coast to memorable trips with family to Disneyland, Disney World, New York, Arizona, and visits with loved ones in Texas. He was passionate about concerts, theater shows, sporting events, and especially live country music — with George Strait being one of his favorite artists. He enjoyed golfing, a good book, and never turned down a cold soda or a perfectly cooked steak.
Family was at the heart of Arturo’s world. He especially cherished time with his niece Mia, creating memories full of laughter, warmth, and love. He was known for his delicious barbecues and family meals, where he poured his heart into cooking and gathering everyone together. Arturo lived his life with kindness, friendliness, and generosity — someone you could always count on.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo Reyes Lopez and Estela Soria Lopez. He is survived by his sisters, Juanita Avila and Vanessa Ortega; his brother, Ricardo Lopez; his niece, Mia; and brothers-in-law, Albert Avila and Victor Ortega — along with extended family and countless friends who will carry his memory forward.
With love, laughter, and music woven into his life, Arturo leaves behind memories that will forever be treasured — he will be deeply missed.
