Ellen Marie Golden

Ellen Marie Golden of Dinuba passed away at age 92 on July 31, 2014. Marie was born October 14, 1921 in Thackerville, OK and later settled with her family in Dinuba, CA. Marie was hard-working by nature, working in local cotton fields, canneries, and for many years as a Supervisor at Able Industries in Dinuba. Her years at Able were known to be her favorite and most rewarding as she was able to provide guidance and encouragement to the developmentally disabled. Marie was a great cook and an amazing soul who gave all of herself to her family, friends, and those in need. She leaves behind a legacy of strong women who hope to make her proud.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Sandra Crawford of Santa Rosa, CA; Linda Golden of Tulare, CA; Pamela Pilkerton and husband Bob Pilkerton of Dinuba, CA; granddaughter, Heather Dale Best and husband Rob Best, and great-grandson, Jensen Best of Santa Rosa, CA; sister, Bennie Kate Bright Stark of Santa Rosa, CA. Marie is preceded in death by her husband Wilburn ‘Buddy’ Golden, her parents Hubert Marion Bright and Effie Fuller Bright and brothers, Hite E. Bright, George Murphy Bright, Dillon Bright, Hubert Bright Jr., Felix Bright, and Marshall Eugene Bright, sisters, Era Bright-West and Amanda Sue Bright-Owen.

Graveside service will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, August 22, 2014, at Smith Mountain Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dopkins Funeral Chapel.
