There are no words that could ever truly express how much you meant to me and to so many others. Now, you are resting peacefully, but the love you gave and the memories you left behind will live in our hearts forever.
You were the shoulder so many people could lean on. Whenever someone needed you, you were there—without hesitation, without judgment, and with a heart full of love. You were someone people could count on, and your support was unwavering.
You were a loving son, brother, uncle, grandpa, father, and a true friend to so many. You touched more lives than you probably ever realized, and the love you gave so freely will continue through all of us who were blessed to know you.
Dad, I will miss your voice, your smile, your presence, and all the little things that made you who you were. I will miss having you here beside me, but I find comfort knowing that you are no longer hurting and that you are now resting peacefully in heaven, reunited with your mom, your brother, and the friends who went before you.

A service will be held at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, 189 South J Street, Dinuba, CA 93618, US, on October 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A reception honoring Smiley will also be held at Dopkins Funeral Chapel on October 1, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
