John Paul Vetter was born on the 27th of February, 1928 to William Francis Vetter and Ruth Alvey Vetter in Dinuba, California. He worked as a building contractor for nearly 45 years, including a partnership in Vetter & Vetter Construction. John Vetter passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 in San Francisco at the age of 85. He was predeceased by grandson, Steven Johnson, and granddaughter, Kristy Johnson Duran. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Vetter, five sons, Ray, Jack, Kenny, Donald, and Rick Vetter, four daughters, Linda Morris, Jeanne Johnson, Carol Slusher, and Tricia Miller. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Halstead, 15 grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. A rosary will be held in his honor on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Old St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Reedley. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10 AM followed by burial at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
